Bored in the Summer

It’s summer time and instead of having fun under the sun, I’m stuck here at home doing nothing. Well, not exactly nothing. I’ve been watching tv and making myself fat. Yay. Ugh, I can’t wait to go out and spend time with my friends. I miss. *sigh* Well, blogging is one thing productive I guess. Oh! I’ve been ‘doodling’ all day since I got inspired by that video in my past entry. And I must say that I suck. haha! really. I really have to practice more. Practice, practice, practice. Hmm, to make this blog entry less boring as it is, I shall show you one that I have finished (or too lazy to make it better, so it will do.)My drawing:

Original:

Okay, for those of you who do not know, that is my husband Eddie Klint. 🙂 I tried drawing him as you can see but yes, it does not look like him. Haha. Oh well, I tried. I also did not scan that, I just took a picture of it so it kinda looks weird.. the angle and all. I just used a black crayon for that. I dunno who I should attempt on drawing next. Hmm.

Let’s Draw!

Another thing I like to do besides dancing (ha, yeah right. lol), is to draw. I can draw practically anywhere, from the comfort of my own home to restaurants (waiting for the food) and in school – instead of listening. haha! But I can’t say that I am good at it. I have so much more to learn, and I like to think of my drawings as doodles. Well, i am once again amazed by the talent i see in youtube. Yes, youtube again. This guy under the username of EclecticAsylumArt has some serious talent in drawing. Here are some of his work.

Marilyn Monroe

Okay, after looking at all his awesome work, I feel talentless now. haha! Nah, just kidding. It really inspired me to practice more and do better. He has some very helpful tutorials on how to draw in his youtube channel which is in this link –> http://www.youtube.com/user/EclecticAsylumArt 🙂

Anyway, enough art talk. I forgot that I have taken shots of freja’s moiselle campaign during my short trip in HK. It was my first time seeing the actual store and the clothes they sell. They have very pretty dresses which I wish I could buy. Her pictures are everywhere on the store, and I couldn’t help but take some shots of it. I also uncoincidently went in the Moussy store which Freja also indorses. I realized only when I saw her huge photo inside the store. haha! too bad I didn’t get to take pictures of it. They also have cool clothes which are very stylish. Excuse the bad angles of the pictures, I was in a bit of a hurry (and I don’t think you’re allowed to take pictures. lol)

Kaffiyeh

What do you think of them? They look good to me, but not everyone could pull it off. I know i’m a little late with these scarves because it’s been around for a while now. I’ve usually seen these being worn plainly wrapped around the neck or most of the time, in a triangular manner. I think these scarves are really nice to look at, and can make a boring outfit look more interesting. It also serves as a symbol for

The keffiyeh is also known as a shmagh, shemagh or yashmag, a ghutra or a hatta , and is a traditional headdress of Arab men, made of a square of cloth (“scarf“), usually cotton, folded and wrapped in various styles around the head. It is commonly found in arid climate areas to provide protection from direct sun exposure, as well as for occasional use in protecting the mouth and eyes from blown dust and sand.

Just some models wearing them 🙂

Just For Now

I love Imogen Heap. I’ve known her for a long time now and I never get tired of listening to her songs. Her music is just so deep and refreshing to me. Her voice has this unique tone or texture that brings chills to me (in a good way, haha), especially in her song “Hide and Seek”. Her songs are all beautiful and different, and the lyrics are very meaningful. She is a very talented and creative singer.

Here is Imogen Heap playing “Just For Now” live. I love this version.

This one is entitled “goodnight and go”, which I also love.

And this leaves me with a feeling of nostalgia. 🙂

What you think?

Aaah he’s so gorgeous – the eyes and that well defined jaw (the jaw always gets to me). Okay, his name is Reinis Babris and he’s latvian – latvian models are hot. 😛 He’s my new model find 🙂

Hong Kong

I’ve recently been back from my short trip to Hong Kong and I must say, I’m missing it already. The beautiful surroundings, the friendly people, the yummy food, the huge malls, and the feeling of just being there is just great. It really is a busy country. It’s like, people are rushing everytime. From ordering our food to walking in the streets, everyone seems in a hurry. Haha. But the people there are really nice and accomodating. They even say “bye-bye” all the time whenever you leave. They also have a cool sense of style. Everyone looked good, especially in the streets which made me feel ‘under dressed’ LOL. The shopping is great, almost everywhere you look, there’s a mall.  Sigh, wish I could go back there again someday!

Just random pictures from my trip

Model’s Own Style

I love seeing pictures of models sporting their own style off the runway. It shows how simple, crazy, weird, or fashion concious they are when it comes to their clothes. Well, I’ve found some models who have the same style and fashion sense as me – a mix of sporty, chic, laid back hippy. haha!

Some of my favorites are:

1. Behati Prinsloo – I think her style is more of comfort over style but still manage to look great.

2. Irina Lazareanu – I think she can pull off anything she wears.

3. Freja Beha – laid back and chill.

4. Bruna Tenorio – feminine, but not too much.

5. Aggyness Deyn – funkkky

Transformation

What happened to Ryan Cabrera? Has he gone mad? Nah, just kidding. But his new look was quite a surprise. The once spikey blonde haired guy has transformed from this:

to this!

Nope, that ain’t no Johnny Depp. It said that he was coming out with a new album soon, so maybe this look will reflect his type of music? maybe. But as far as I see it, I don’t like his new look. 😦

Awimba-we, Awimba-we

Oh my gawd, I just laughed my ass off. Haha! This youtube video of Coco Rocha and Behati Prinsloo is priceless. Too funny! Haha, maybe I just laugh easily, but for sure, it’ll at least put a smile on your face. 🙂
